“As part of an on-call agreement, a leading financial services provider (LFSP) enlisted Davis Brody Bond in partnership with Spacesmith to renovate and expand their 9,200 sf office into an adjacent 6,600 sf of space on the 16^th floor of the Cira Center in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. This phased renovation was coordinated with LFSP’s design & construction team in NYC & their facilities team in Philadelphia & Wilmington. Established LFSP workplace, finish, IT, security and AV standards were incorporated.

The office went from a series of outdated, high partitioned cubicles to an open bench seating system facilitating improved communication. The new layout allows employees to benefit from natural light filtering through the windows which encompass the space and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of downtown Philadelphia.

The renovation also included a number of glass partitioned four person “huddle rooms” with state of the art video and teleconferencing technology for smaller & impromptu meetings, leaving the conference rooms more available for larger gatherings. Any need for privacy was met in the form of a telephone room for employees to retreat to.

Private offices ring part of the space; however executives have commented that the open plan work stations are so comfortable that they often join their teams in the bull pen and take advantage of the view, daylight and ease of communication.
