New offices for a public institution had to be housed into an old existing structure. When placed inside a container that had been thought for different purposes it was an important condition to achieve  a flexible functionality for public offices that  would comply with   present  technology requirements  for this kind of use and still embody  the representational level of  public architecture that  was claimed by the theme .

Because of  the scope of the work  It was very likely that companies capable of carrying out its construction would  not  be  locally sourced and subcontractors  would need to look  elsewhere for materials and workers. Thus building the technical solution required a simplicity and a possibility of executing and the consideration of the fact that  important parts of the total of the building woul be done in  workshops far from the site  to facilitate the availability of components and increase execution speed.

The solution adopted comes out from a  regularization of the upper part of the structure, eliminating water tanks and a concrete top slab, to wrap the building with a light metal roof frame finished in titanium zinc sheet. The roof plate continues vertically on one of the side facades of the building and on one of the dividing walls so that not only unifies its image but generates a high-rise portal in the public acces changing its scale and giving it a public profile in contrast to the conspicuous absence of contemporary public architecture that might dialogue with  the old buildings of the past that exist in cities  like Pehuajó.

This situation is similar to the one in the whole Province of Buenos Aires, which corresponds to other past historical periods that are evident in architectures such as the headquarters of the National Bank or the municipal  or religious buildings that have traditionally shaped the spirit of the public , around the streets of our cities and towns within the province .

The emergence of a contemporary object in these traditional profile cities is not easy, however, to leave a  different sign of the presence of the public  corresponding to the current time, conveys the effect of a new image that sends from the public a   message.of change and evolution , and an injection of modernity.
