Article source: Arquitectos Ayala In a time of permanent changes, changes of use, technological changes or simply hierarchical changes, the most difficult challenge was to design a flexible modulated container.
Starting from a traditional and magic module of 7,20 m x 7,20 m, the rectangular building was divided in zones: longitudinal bands for offices and he spaces of larger dimensions, as classrooms or laboratories, were placed in the extremities. There is an eccentric yard to carry light to the general halls in every floor, it breaths through an open terrace in the fifth floor. The offices are orientated north-south and, in the west facade, there is a solar protection made o sensored graduated metallic sheets. Technical ceilings and floors, vertical prefabricated partitions for possible transformations and the facade with a natural stone covering. The remaining flot and its different levels were used to place exterior access ramps to the basement, in order to make a good use of the whole interior space. The access in lateral, with a large porch in the west front of the building, that is in a lower level that the street, giving the appearance to be high from the ground. Contact Arquitectos Ayala
