Executive offices Ravenna – SIRIO Ltd. in Italy by Bartoletti Cicognani architettura e designJuly 22nd, 2015 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: Bartoletti Cicognani architettura e design Our goal was to turn a simple industrial unit into an executive and management center for Sirio’s offices. The main alteration we made on the building was the addition of an inner court. We removed part of the existing roof and created a little garden with wide, tall windows that could bring plenty of natural light in every room. Around this central patio, the rest of the building develops. On the ground floor are the operational offices: a wide, double-height open space on which the spacious, quite and bright executive offices – on the first floor – look out. The mezzanine floor houses a wide relax area. The entrance hall, the reception and the waiting area has been designed to display the professionalism and competence of our client’s company, and the vertical path that connect it to the executive offices passes through the large, sunny terrace.
The materials we used have nice and elegant surfaces, light colors and warm tones. We designed technical solutions to the problems of giving an adequate lightning to the offices: decorative stalactite-shaped lamps have been installed on the high ceiling, giving just the right amount of light in all the working areas. The space we conceived is an amalgam of open spaces that however create several perspective glimpses, always different but well integrated in the architectural body of the building. The green area inside the inner patio, also, is simple and elegant, a perfect space for some open air relax time. What looks like an anonymous industrial building from the outside hides a completely different soul, a beautiful world, simple, elegant and emotional, that tells a story of culture and passion.
