Article source: Real Engineering d.o.o. RENOVATION OF HISTORIC, monumental protected building, is always difficult architectural task. ABOVE ALL, SUCH, that in space has traditionally been a so-called “LANDMARK”. LOCATION of marking and location of orientation.
Castle “Gredic” is high, unusual slim building which is standing on a strategic position for ages. In such a complete renovation of both its content and design, the historical elements and associated restrictions may be barriers. However, they are also a great challenge. This is it: The true measure of respect historicism and sophisticated boldness in the design of new parts of the castle, was our design guideline. The rooms in the historical part of the castle complement each bar and restaurant – wine celar – assembly in the basement floors. WINE CELLAR is, with its spaciousness and accessibility THROUGH semicircular ramp, forming the most fascinating ABIENT in the complex. Its volume, choice of materials, ambient mysticism and, of course, CONTENT, returning the castle soul that has lost its history. Castle “Gredic” is one of the few successfully implemented historic buildings renovation in our region. It is transferred pattern of Castle renovation from Portuguese winegrowing districts – so called “Pousadas” into “Brda” region. Contact Real Engineering d.o.o.
