Article source: PETITDIDIERPRIOUX Complete restructuring The project forms part of the reforms to the judicial map and aims to join together the activities of two courts in a single setting. Apart from having to restructure the offices, there was also a need to resolve the following dilemma: how to increase the reception areas for the public while remaining within the existing physical envelope? This was achieved by a clever interweaving of the various programmes, resulting in the concourse being enlarged by 50% and given an outdoor extension thanks to an esplanade linked to the public space. This device resolves the organisational problems at the same time as creating a new symbolic relationship between the public and the institution.
