Article source: YO.DAA GrasSea Ristopescheria is located in Fondi, a little city in Italy, near Rome and Naples. The theme of the project was to embrace with a single architectural gesture the space able to contain the different types of activities that take place inside the building. Fish Market, Restaturant, functional space and external space were to appear as a single continuous space, accessible at the functional level and at the level of perception. The Design also had to be modern, bright and with references to the marine theme, of course, reinterpreted in a modern key. The ceilings with flowing lines and dynamic, the wooden flooring which then becomes the kitchen wall that recalls the jetties piers, the stainless steel doors and windows, the circular windows placed high up on the window, are all internal references to the marine theme. The rest of the lines, including the slots game on the kitchen wall that make it visible, the monobloc bench coated in resin, rimarcate with illumination with specially designed, make the functional environment, just like the modern and dynamic activities that takes place inside it. Particular attention was paid to the lighting sudio. Exist 3 different types of lighting according to requirements. Definitely the most distinctive and visible element is the bright ceiling track that combines all the space visually, and that cuts the wall up to get off the ground. The outdoor area covered attracts more of the classic tavern fishing style, with a ambient and lighting warmer and traditional. Like a path between two different ways of living and seeing the sea.
