Article source: Eskema Arquitectos This corporate office is in one of the most avant-garde buildings located at the west of Mexico City, the challenge for Eskema Arquitectos was the client´s requirement an interior design project that strongly expressed the prestige of the brand and at the same time a certain air of informality. Another important topic was making the design of these offices different from the rest the firm has around the world and also to show that this are located in Mexico.
These parameters were fundamental for choosing the color palette, the type of furniture and layout of the spaces. The architectural program had to contemplate that three different business areas happen to meet in the same relaxing area, avoiding the boring and traditional coffee point, a breakout area giving the sensation of being outdoors to clear the mind; here you can see a very fun and colorful element on the wall and large tables for the group to meet in a wide circulations, well-lit and ventilated space. Other important spaces in this project are the meeting rooms located around the reception, the configuration of these spaces combines different capacities of meetings where privacy is very important; therefore special care was taken in the sound insulation of the walls. An important aspect is that even though no certification was pursued, the best practices of sustainability and well-being were followed. Different materials such as: a carpet with bright colors and a pattern that adds movement to the spaces and vinyl tiles for the cafeteria and reception area floors were combined. Although the gray color predominates throughout the whole space, these corporate offices are not obscure because the interior project made sure most of the areas had natural light and touches of vibrant colors, making this corporate offices to have the image and requirements the client wanted.
