Article source: Lazaro rosa violan studio On the island of Lanzarote and facing the sea we can find H10 Rubicon, opening itselve to the views of the neighboring Fuerteventura. This project includes some of the most characteristic elements of the island and its colors: the white of the whitewashed houses, the dark and intense green of the vegetation and the black of the volcanic rock, making the interior design a tribute to the island itself.
With a style of African and Asian inspirations, the project powers and highlights all the qualities of the architecture of the building, such as the high level of the lobby in which an arc of dolphins welcomes the visitor, becoming one of the most unique and unforgettable elements throughout the space. Wood panels, natural fabrics, maps of nautical charts and lush vegetation accompany the guest in their journey through the hotel, from the common areas up to the elegant rooms, designed in black and white to highlight the natural colors of the spectacular views. The approach to the Asian culture also can be seen in furniture items such as lamps with Chinese screens and pompoms or the great wall scones of the columns. The same happens in the rooms, where the furniture is highly linked to these two cultural sources (Asia and Africa), through the use of wenge wood, circular mirrors and lamps of Asian inspiration. The restaurant Janubio tries to recreate a market with different environments, where every culinary variety is represented by a different position with an id and distinctive decor, but looking for the same atmosphere of green, black and white; with vertical tileds, lush vegetation, woods and warm lighting, along with the furniture in rattan and/or in natural fabrics.
