Article source: Aresto Arquitetura Located in the city of Jundiaí on a lot with very steep slope and triangular shape, in an area of native forest, this house was built with metallic structure. The construction is structured in four different levels, distributed by the land so as to take advantage of the views of the surroundings.
The metal structure allows a good flexibility in the construction, which gave to this project the possibility of being constructed in different levels. On the street level are the garage and the entrance hall, which facilitates and makes the access practical. The whole project took into account the use of natural luminosity and, for this, the designer thought about the installation of large glass panels, which also allows a greater appreciation of the landscape in the surroundings. Since the construction occupies a terrain surrounded by Atlantic Forest, it has the solar incidence filtered naturally by the canopy of the trees. These elements can also contribute to the maintenance of cooler temperatures inside the residence, reducing the consumption of electric energy. For the external finishing we opted for the association of materials like white mass with the panels and brises of wood. The latter, besides the aesthetic role, can be used, also, in the breaking of the luminosity incident in the internal environments. The walls were built of rough stone, which contributes to indoor environments having lower temperatures. The roof consists of two roofs, in metal tiles, each with only one fall and lining in Cumaru, a hardy wood and quite employed in this function. The metal structure has allowed this whole project to be designed in such a way as to take advantage of the natural characteristics of the land and the surroundings, so that the built house becomes a pleasant and comfortable home.
