Article source: Tarruella Trenchs Studio The challenge to design the new Turris bakery in L’Illa Diagonal mall was to change the current image to convey the values and essence of the brand, which is based on the use of high quality ingredients and the care in the making of bread.
We designed a bakery workroom with a sales area rather than a store with a workroom. It has an industrial look that it is inspired by the old workrooms, promoting the tradition and respect for the profession. We worked with noble materials, basic shapes, and simple manipulations to achieve both austere and functional aesthetics, where the bread stands out over the neutral space.
