Article source: JURAJ TESÁK ARCHITEKT Crowdberry is the first crowd – investment platform in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Their goal is to create an alternative segment of investing in local companies with global reach, bringing together innovative and functional companies with private investors. Their offices therefore had to provide room for meeting, presenting interesting ideas, and common discussion about the projects. We had a great trust from them, and the cooperation went smoothly. In the first phase, we had to decide how big the whole space needs to be. Many varations of the size of offices and their disposition were considered and discussed.
Finally, the two parallel worlds were created – the café area and the workplace area. At the entrance you find yourself in a pleasant investment café, which forms the central area. There is also a small stage dedicated to presentation of the companies and startups, with comfortable sitting area for discussion and answering questions from investors. The space is designed for interactive events and meetings with clients. The goal was to create a place for an open minded company, where the existing clients can come to enjoy coffee and talk about news. There are different types of sitting as a bar sitting at a higher table, coffee tables with comfortable chairs, or a armchairs on the stage. The interior was freshly designed to make the young businesses and young investors feel comfortable and at the same time suppress the corporate feeling. “Many people do not even know that there are offices behind the wall, the corporate” touch “is totally suppressed,”says architect Juraj Tesak. The relaxed atmosphere is also supported by the acclaimed concrete ceiling, which makes the room height of up to 3.6 meters. A flexible ramp lighting system is created throughout the space and can be adapted to any needs. There can be various events, panel discussions, photos or presentations. In the Café some of Crowdberry portfolio projects are exposed, which supports an innovative and open minded atmosphere. An untraditional solution is the direct connection from café to the small kitchen, which is discreetly hidden behind a wooden wall and can be closed if necessary. There are two meeting rooms in the café area, one smaller for about 8 people and the larger for about 16 people. Both are acoustically soundproofed so clients can talk freely. Unlike a dynamic and fresh central area of café, offices are simply handled. There is a colorful simplicity used to make the man feel comfortable and not distracted by any elements. There was an effort to incorporate small workplace principles. The layout of tables, chairs and furniture is ergonomically adapted to natural movement in workspaces. The concept of the workspace ensures that workers have different opportunities to spend working time. It can support and bring different talents because people feel good in these spaces and want to work here. Contact JURAJ TESÁK ARCHITEKT
