This project had the challenge of converting an extension of the facilities (offices and showroom) of a manufacturer of designer furniture, into a rational space that respects the preexisting, a metaphor of its origins as a company, and that at the same time reflects its Young and dynamic spirit.

The new Sancal Headquarters is located in a new plant construction, symmetrical to the existing one.

This new building is separated on the ground floor by the loading and unloading dock, and remains joined at the top by a terrace-walkway that meets the necessary characteristics to become, in addition, a space for parties, meetings and outdoor relaxation.

The new building is closed with a floor-to-ceiling glass U-glass cloth, which filters the light inwards and at the same time, by not allowing the outside view, makes us focus on the vision of the exposed product, very expressive and colorful.

The materials are resounding and honest:

Polished concrete on the floor, a metal structure seen, without hiding, as well as the prefabricated concrete plates of the ceilings, galvanized sheet metal for the double height hollow, and oak as noble material in the areas exposed to touch.

With oak the blind railings of the stairs are formed, and the wall and ceiling of the guest dining room, next to the small kitchen.

The mobile lighting is supported by an electrified rail arranged in a grid, in order to vary the light points of the showroom with ease.

The terrace-walkway that connects to the old building is also closed to the street with a perforated metal plate wall. This material is also repeated on the deck of the pergola that protects from sun and rain, and which leads to the old building, now conditioned as meeting rooms, framed in oak, and a work area.

This office and work area is highlighted with elements such as white custom furniture (continuing with the color uniformity of the rest of the office).

The entrances and entrances to each zone have also been chromatically highlighted, using again lacquered, perforated or smooth sheet metal, leaving the opaque railings as a great mass of color and focus of visual attention.

In the main access from the street a colorful and respectful marquee has been built that adapts, without altering it, to the existing vegetation.
