The geographical location of this project is in the city of Basmenj near the city of Tabriz in the province of East Azerbaijan, which is a cold region.
The project was in a very good position visually, which made it possible to have a good view of the inside of the villa to the surrounding area, but because the project was located at a high point, it prevented us from designing all four sides of the villa transparently. In this villa we did not do any excavation to change the height , in fact, we tried to design the villa on the existing site without changing the height codes.
In order to prevent strong winds on the western side, we completely covered this villa on the first and second floors, and also on the western front, we considered the main entrance of the villa from the northwestern fronts, as well as a roof to prevent strong winds, but on the front South of the building, we designed an all-glass wall so we could use all of the sun’s energy to heat the interior space.
Despite the fact that this area is cold, it also has very hot summers. On the second floor, we have provided a space for sitting in the open air, which we have placed on the eastern front so that the wind does not disturb it.
Also, in order to prevent the wind from blowing to the main area of the building, we placed a wall on the western front of this project that can prevent strong winds.
The design concept of this building is inspired by Azeri style arches which is the ancient style of this region. Also to illustrate this style in modern times, it prompted us to implement the pieces of these arches in this project according to modern styles.
If we look at this project from the top view, all the proportions of the arches and fasteners can be seen clearly.
In designing all the fronts, we tried to completely replicate this type of curve, even in the site space, we displayed these lines using light on the floor.
In our perspective, stairs are always a symbol of prosperity. Therefore, we have provided lights to display the stairs to evoke a view of reaching the peak to the observer.
