The Olive Oil Museum, is located in Bobadela, Oliveira do Hospital and was a dream of the owner, António Dias, who had a collection tracing the history of the production of olive oil, from the time of the Romans to contemporary times.
The concept of space was designed as a metaphor, it should be an iconic image that people would easily recognize. The idea of combining the use of an iconic image with colors and shapes that integrate with Nature has always been present and thus the idea of the olive branch arose.
In their design for the new head office and production site for Kirsch Pharma HealthCare GmbH in Wedemark, Germany, SAOTA rethinks the often underwhelming and generic industrial prototype.
The site of German‐based Kirsch Pharma HealthCare’s new factory and headquarters in Wedemark, Germany, is a somewhat anonymous industrial zone without distinctive contextual cues. South African‐based architectural firm SAOTA approached the project with the understanding that a meaningful architectural response to this environment would require a building that stood as a sculptural object in the landscape, making a strong architectural statement that imparted a sense of presence and identity in its own right.
The manufacturing and administrative building for a rapidly growing family company. The construction with a green roof and transparent spaces support contact and communication within the company. The new building complies with the strict norms of manufacturing.

Moscow Brewing Company has launched a new brand space that includes a tasting room, company store and lounge zone, located on the vast brewery grounds.
The space was previously used for the project «Brewhouse», that provided young street artists with a platform for displaying their work. As part of the new project, fragments of the artworks have been preserved on the walls. They have an influence on zoning scenarios and the design of individual elements.
The entrance area is characterized by bold formal compositions that draw on the symbolism and aesthetics of the company. Custom designed elements echo industrial machinery; a steel tasting ‘tank’ bar stand, massive pipe–shaped lamps and benches that resemble huge wire spools.

The architect received a task from project owner to do a Layout. The project want to determine the size of factory building or operation building which consist of 24 meters width and 48 meters depth. It is the standard of factory to reduce construction cost and is the most suitable size for the operation. The architect then select to fit as much building as possible which will use to build in near future. The plan area, architect placed 3 operation buildings by leaving the front area for parking lot and office and prepare the backside of the project for the accommodation of some workers.
A new production hall in Lower Bavaria constructed by ip company, a North German window manufacturer, is a greenfield project in a business park in the market town of Langquaid. The hall brings together several different functions under one roof: production facilities, staff rooms and showroom. The geometry of this long building is determined by the production processes involved in window manufacture. The hall is divided by a block with the staff rooms and offices separating the production area from the showroom. This block has dark panelling on the one side and the colour code of the product range on the other.
Joseph Dejardin completes the renovation of a 12000sqm former factory building at Chenfeng Group’s Kunshan campus near Shanghai, South China. The design transforms garment production workshops & administrative offices into contemporary fashion studios and flexible office space. As one of China’s largest textile & garment manufacturing companies, the conversion project is part of the studios’s ambitious redevelopment masterplan to transform the factory site into a creative hub for nurturing fashion design in China.
Located at the border of Kunshan City and Shanghai, Chenfeng Group’s 90,000sqm factory campus was set up in 2003. With over 15,000 employees, Chenfeng Group is a certified enterprise of the International Fair Labor Association and a member of the International Sustainable Apparel Coalition. The company is a production partner to international brands including Patagonia, Uniqlo, Stella McCartney, and Chinese fashion designers such as Feng Chen Wang, Xu Zhi and Chen Peng. The group is also a partner in the ready-to-wear brand Comme Moi, founded by former supermodel Lü Yan. Taking advantage of the group’s garment manufacturing expertise, the redevelopment masterplan aims to establish long term collaborations with the country’s top fashion design institutions and internationally renowned young Chinese fashion designers, many of whom already maintain studios on site.
Located in the Pingtung Agricultural and Bio-technology Park (PABP) in southern Taiwan, the T-Ham PABP factory is the largest and the most advanced pork meat processing factory in the country. This LEED gold certified factory complex contains a main factory building (22,000 m²), a diner and gift shop building (650 m²), and a waste water treatment building. The factory’s expansive product range covers more than 250 items, ranging from Western style hams, sausages and bacon, to artisanal wood smoked hand-tied hams, to Chinese style stewed, boiled and roasted meats, ready-to-eat meals, as well as vari-ous meat ingredients for chain restaurants and bakeries.
The client T-HAM is the oldest and the largest meat processing brand in Taiwan with over 50 years of history. The design of this new factory has been assigned with four principal goals. Firstly, it is to double the company’s production capacity in order to meet increasing demand from the domestic market. Sec-ondly, to upgrade the production facility in order to meet the export requirements of Japan, Singapore and the United States as it prepares for market expansion in 2020. Thirdly, it is to deliver a statement of the company’s corporate values which are high quality products, sustainable development, and environmental friendliness. Fourthly, it is to upgrade the working environment of their factory workers and their daily working experience – as “happy employees make better products”.
The Villa Torlonia in San Mauro Pascoli, near the towns of Rimini and Cesena, Italy, is one of the most important cultural heritage sites of the Rubicone river valley for its architectural and historical significance. Defined as a “monumental complex”, its many buildings, built throughout history, have come to have a peculiar artistic, historical and ethno-anthropological relevance.
Once a perfect rural factory with warehouses, production rooms, work environments and residences, current circumstances have determined its inevitable changing in function converting the complex into a suggestive venue for cultural events.
The county of Fuliang was once under the administrative jurisdiction of Jingdezhen, the Porcelain Capital of China, and is known as the origin of the Porcelain Capital. The Gaoling Ancient Mine Ruins in Fuliang is also a holy place for international ceramics culture. Located in Fuliang’s Qiancheng Village, BingDing Wood kiln is less than an hour’s drive from the urban area of Jingdezhen. The site is surrounded by mountains and bamboo forests in a tranquil environment.
