Equador 804 Apartment is a renovation project located in Cascais, covering approximately 33m2, aimed at income generation through short-term rental.
The proposed functional program included a kitchen and a bedroom, in open-space format, a bathroom, and also the use of the outdoor balcony as a living space. As this is a relatively small area, the first step of the intervention involved in the elimination of all non-structural elements and walls, except those configuring the existing kitchen and bathroom, releasing the entire spaciousness of the apartment.
The new facilities of this Association meant a great opportunity to renew the goals and the image that AERI sought to project to its partners and collaborators in this new stage. With a simple palette of materials and tones, AERI’s operational facilities achieve their own sober and elegant character that allows activities to be carried out in a more efficient way in terms of space and more harmonious in terms of experiences.
The project, ‘FICUS OFFICE’, inherits the name of the central tree that frames the design; heart of the studio and space. A place where the tranquility of nature wins the battle against the frenetic energy of the city.
The design of the office is focused on improving the health, creativity and efficiency of workers, following the global trend of the ‘third space’; an environment that combines the comfort of home with the functionality of work spaces.

We turned the old cliche, that barrister’s chambers have to have high pile carpets, leather club chairs and an understated lobby, on its head. We drew our inspiration from the client’s work and from its key output – a contract. In our case a contract with design. A contract with a refined space for lawyers, who need focus rooms and teamwork spaces and who often work from home, but need frequent access to modern technology, which is mostly cloud-based.

One of the wooden houses of Kemer Country premises in Istanbul, House in the Woods was over modernized, disconnected from its surroundings, and lost its connection with the habitat. Ofist’s involvement had started at the beginning of the pandemic, as the clients had to move in a very short period, like one month. Naturally, Ofist’s approach was to avoid too much interference with the infrastructure. Instead, the focus has been on clever touches and personalizing the house for its new residents. It was aimed to create a balance between the surrounding nature and the family’s hectic, busy, urban life.

The idea was to create an exciting office space with a lively welcoming theme that meets the company’s energy and inspires its staff and customers with a fresh look. In addition to these, we wanted the space to reflect the company’s sustainable values and culture from macro and micro levels.
