Sungang district is situated within Shenzhen, China’s economic and technological citadel; and as the former hub for logistics distribution and warehouses, it is in the process of transitioning between tradition and innovation. Aedas reflects and accelerates this transition by adopting innovative and sustainable dimensions for Baoneng Centre, injecting vibrancy to create one of the largest mixed-use live-work-recreate communities to serve the district.
With a total area of 800,000 square meters, the prismatic complex comprises a 300m tall Grade-A office tower, a 25-storey apartment tower, and an 11-storey podium of 2 retail and exhibition components namely Baoneng First Space and Baoneng Universal Converge. The development revitalises the area by increasing commercial activities.
KCAP and Kraaijvanger Architects transformed the Stationspostgebouw, a former postal sorting centre next to the Hollands Spoor train station in The Hague, into a sustainable and social work environment for the 21st century while respecting the original architecture. Renovation of the national monument was commissioned by LIFE, SENS real estate and PostNL, the national postal service and former occupant. The building is home once again to PostNL, now serving as its headquarters.
Ferring Pharmaceuticals A/S has opened its new home in Copenhagen. The site occupies a pivotal waterfront position alongside the Øresund crossing, just north of Copenhagen International Airport. Bordered by predominantly low-rise development, the building affords fantastic views towards Malmö and the Swedish coast – where the company was founded.

Foster + Partners has completed ICÔNE, a new office complex in Belval, Luxembourg. The 18,800 square-metre office building, filled with light and greenery, encourages a spirit of co-creation and collaboration. Its layout addresses the need for flexible and safe working environments that will emerge in the future. It also references the rich industrial heritage of Belval, revitalising the area by making a positive contribution to the site and its surroundings. The scheme is targeted to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Trafilerie Mazzoleni: new administration centre in Bergamo A contemporary building with essential forms and changing textures
At the centre of this project is the administration centre of Trafilerie Mazzoleni, an historical wire mill producing steel wire and other metallurgical products, located at the heart of Bergamo it has been in operation for over a century. The project design is fully dry laid and it is defined by an essential form marked by the alternation of dark and light tones as well as a texture changing with the direction of sunlight.
Dipak & Company, a renowned Jewellery Business House in Mumbai, India, needed to expand their existing office building, to add various other departments to their business. The existing building housed their Diamond Polishing & Cutting Departments but they needed to add a Jewellery Creative Design Research & Development Department, for which they needed two additional floors to be added to the building.
Strategically located in the heart of the Pearl River Delta in the vicinity of Hong Kong and Macau, Zhuhai is fast becoming the Delta region’s infrastructural capital. The Xiangzhou North Industrial Zone once fueled Zhuhai’s rapid development in the 1990s. Now, it is undergoing a transformation that sees it converting into a high-tech industrial-city complex. The project’s design is inspired by the striking rock formations that sit along the Zhuhai coast. For thousands of years, they have proudly looked down on the bay and are known locally as “auspicious stones”.
Based in Santa Catarina Building, on Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo, the architecture project of the new Schneider Pugliese office has its architecture by Starq Arquitetos. The project was developed for the floor where the law office was already based, but, after a consultancy with ST ARQ Associated Architects, the office ended up moving to where it’s based today, in the Santa Catarina Building.
align has completed the design of a 25,000 sq ft space on the 4th floor of the Adelphi Building on John Adam Street in London’s west end for The Economist Group, enabling all the group’s London staff to be integrated into the same office for the first time in several years. Whilst The Economist newspaper’s editorial team first moved to the John Adam Street building five years ago, its commercial teams and the group’s other businesses – around 530 people in total, incorporating job functions from events, marketing, editorial and legal to HR, technology and finance, as well as the group’s charitable educational foundation – continued to be housed in a separate office in Canary Wharf.
The National Cybersecurity and Innovation Base located in Wuhan Airport Economic Development Zone began construction in 2016, with its landmark building first opened for use in 2019. The Zone is poised to be a cybersecurity academy and R&D centre, conglomerating industry expertise and academic research.
