ONE CONCEPT, ONE COLOR AND ONE MATERIAL
The assignment is motivated by the need to expand the Neuro psychiatric Centre Our Lady of Carmen, in Zaragoza. In the first phase there is a new support centre for youth with behavioral problems, and currently sharing facilities with the geriatric section and, by the nature of their treatment and pathology, was necessary to become independent. In a second phase will be built the “Module for Occupational Workshops.”

Floor, Pavilion, Inflated Pneumatic Structure
Four Piers (Eleutheria Square, Megaro, Aretsou, Perea) were designed for the Architecture Competition for the Thessaloniki Water Transport Piers. Each Pier is composed of three elements: the Floor, the Pavilions and the Inflated Pneumatic Structure.
Shima Kitchen was a renovation project to create a venue for arts, and dinning from an old vacant house in a village on Teshima. Teshima is a rural island in the Seto Inland Sea of Western Japan, just next to the famous art tourism island of Naoshima.

In summer 2011 the Institute for Computational Design (ICD) and the Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design (ITKE), together with students at the University of Stuttgart have realized a temporary, bionic research pavilion made of wood at the intersection of teaching and research. The project explores the architectural transfer of biological principles of the sea urchin’s plate skeleton morphology by means of novel computer-based design and simulation methods, along with computer-controlled manufacturing methods for its building implementation. A particular innovation consists in the possibility of effectively extending the recognized bionic principles and related performance to a range of different geometries through computational processes, which is demonstrated by the fact that the complex morphology of the pavilion could be built exclusively with extremely thin sheets of plywood (6.5 mm).
Material: 275 m² Birch plywood 6,5mm Sheet thickness
Software used: McNeel Rhinoceros and the plugins Grasshopper and Kangaroo. Also used AnSys for FEA tests, QDesign RoboMove for simulating and Kuka KRC2 for operating the manufacturing process.
Will Bruder + PARTNERS’ design proposal for the reinvented Kimball Art Center creates a community arts pavilion that is scaled to and complementary to its urban context — proportioned to be understood and enjoyed both from the pace of a pedestrian on Main Street or through the perspective of a visitor’s windshield as they arrive in Park City. The Kimball Art Center is conceived as a comfortable building of its place and time that also celebrates the challenge of ‘the new’. It is a home to the possibilities of ‘making and ideas’, as it serves its mission of providing quality arts education, exhibition, and events.

The Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion is the result of a studied relationship between building, land and art, and serves as both a threshold to and a destination within the 100 Acres Art & Nature Park at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
The BOI (Board of Investment) Fair is a major event that aims to demonstrate Thailand’s rebuilding efforts among public and private sectors after last year’s floods. The objective of the Bridgestone Pavilion is to communicate the company’s commitment to the country in manufacturing, research and investment. With an emphasis on showcasing emerging technologies, Architectkidd had the opportunity to implement design approaches and features that are relatively unique among current standard construction practices in Thailand.
Shenzhen and Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale takes place since 2005, with ‘urbanisation’ as a set long-term theme. This year, the chosen chief curator is Terence Riley, internationally reckognized architect and curator. Among his significant projects are leading the renovation and expansion of Museum of Modern Art (New York) and The Miami Art Museum. In his curatorial statement for the 2011 Bienale, Terence Riley conceived a rather simple, axiomatic but powerful theme: Architecture creates cities – Cities create architecture.

Held every five years, the event’s cyclical existence called for a temporary building which may be easily disassembled and relocated to another site. The pavilion exists of different parts, housing different functions, all singular cells but the strongest in coexistence with its neighboring parts.
The main concept is that during the 5 years no documenta is held, each cell can be assabled in a different german city and serve as an info booth to the next documenta. At the beginning of the next documenta, the parts get transported back and get reconnected on site.
This is the architecture formed from the landscape ; symbiosis of powerful nature and restful human beings. The architecture is located on the top of mountain where commands a view of the Pacific Ocean and deep mountains. The black box is quietly lying on the grassy mound platform.
