With the condition of the project’s site location having 20 meters width and 80 meters long which is considered as a challenging land type in the design of single detached houses in the city. One of design criteria comes from the owner’s request, he loves to write and read books and always exercises to keep himself to be in a good health. We have imagined this house which has a very private, serenity, and a lot of greenery space, and integrating with exercising units (gym, outdoor swimming pool, and running track).

Apartment Andre in Minas Gerais, Brazil by Dobra Arquitetura

Sunday, January 1st, 2023

Article source: Dobra Arquitetura

The transformation this property has undergone is certainly impressive. The ground floor apartment already had a super spacious private area, but it was barren and neglected. The interior was quite dark, with closed, small and poorly ventilated rooms.

Stairs building in Yokohama, Japan by Shinsuke Fujii Architects

Thursday, December 29th, 2022

Article source: Shinsuke Fujii Architects

We planned a three-story tenant building in a very small site with 28 m2. A landing for the stairs was created to match the deformed site, and the space was effectively used as a dining space with a counter.

In addition, the space under the stairs was planned to be used as a toilet and storage for each tenant.

The movement of people going up and down the stairs creates the façade of the building.

Villa Salam is projected on a north-south orientated plot, in a residential neighborhood in Casablanca. The house is attached to another one on the east side. The plot benefits from a sea view on the north side. The main concept is to have an open, transparent and fluid sense of the space, while maintaining the required privacy, in particular for the service spaces. Thus, the plan is organized around a kind of spine, patella which are the straight stairs.

Casa Eg in Catanzaro, Italy by italo armone design studio

Wednesday, December 28th, 2022

Article source: italo armone design studio

Looking for a formal simplicity, EG home demonstrates how even a white wall can be a protagonist and not just a simple background. The plaster frames that embrace the walls fight symmetry, breaking it where possible, turning at every corner, and take over any spaces that are not always theirs. All under the eyes of wall lights, inviting the visitor to keep going.

RP Duplex in Tel Aviv, Israel by Erez Shani Architecture

Wednesday, December 28th, 2022

Article source: Erez Shani Architecture

Geometric and technical constraints were key to the design language which was chosen for this Duplex apartment in Central Tel Aviv. Instead of concealing the Mechanical and Electrical systems of the apartment, the decision was to expose them, and make them an integral part of the design.

A concrete envelope , which is rich in texture , was chosen for the ceiling and feature wall, and careful attention was given to the display of the clients eclectic collections, throughout the different spaces of the project.

Article source: Pierattelli Architetture

An ancient history, brought back to life in the present. In the charm of generous interiors, local materials, ornate frescoed ceilings mixed with contemporary reworkings that feature signature photos and designer pieces of excellence. In Borgo San Frediano, the district in Florence on “the other side of the Arno River”, the “Oltrarno”, voted one of the coolest in the world with its narrow streets and a melting pot of small artisan workshops, new bars, boutiques, bistros, and restaurants, Pierattelli Architetture breathes new life into a 240 m2 apartment, restyling it to create an elegant functional sense of welcome that reflects both the identity and eclecticism of this location.

Sarang Nest House in West Jakarta, Indonesia by Realrich Architecture Workshop

Thursday, December 22nd, 2022

Article source: Realrich Architecture Workshop

Located in a residential area, Taman Buana Permata house complex, Sarang Nest House design redefines house stereotypes and grew organically from the base to becoming, as a reaction to its environmental constraints. Sitting at the hook of the street, the building is facing west and south. The storeys are stacked in angles with protruded spaces enclosed by perforated wall to buffer the heat, either with traditional red bricks or metal screen that gives industrial look in contrast.
