Electric Pawn Shop takes birth as an F&B bar in the back of the H-Hotel, reading the traces of the restaurant that was once there. It projects to the inside the movement, light and speed of the cars on the second of November bridge, generating a theatrical play of reflections.
The project takes its inspiration from the 70’s Chinatown of New York replicating its dark and dystopian vibe whilst staying true to the essence of UAE’s culture. Consequently, the metropolitan environment shaping the bar is characterized by an after-dark dining feel, retro chairs, and red neon interiors where good music and exotic cuisine could merge to create a holistic sensory experience. We envisioned creating a new nightlife atmosphere unfolding a new generation of Asian bars through a venue that fuses counter culture and underground music. The limitations and possibilities of the tenant space were something we took into consideration, as we looked deep into its left-over textures.
An unorthodox retreat nestled in a newly rediscovered and revamped urban market space. Aesthetics splashed with Pan Asian flavours, firmly rooted in the idea of bringing the vigour of izakayas to the heart of the country’s bustling capital. Akachōchin is Studio Dangg’s eccentric endeavour to capture the essence of Japan’s age-old street bars, and curate a space conducive to casual conversations and mirth over endless courses of food and drinks.

Silver Diner returned to CORE to partner on the delivery of the iconic brand’s first location in Washington, DC. Given the potential of the site across from Nationals Park, the team made care-ful decisions to capitalize on this prominent corner location, leading to the creation of a flagship interpretation of the Silver Diner brand. The restaurant chain’s first dual concept features Silver Diner on the first floor and introduces Silver Social, a sophisticated bar and lounge, on the sec-ond floor. This second level provides stunning views to the ballpark from its expansive terrace while being highly visible from the street level.
CORE partnered with Street Guys Hospitality on the renovation of the client’s existing restaurant space by unifying all three floors to expand and reinvent Buena Vida. Positioning the brand to expand to new locations, the design translates the client’s vision to re-establish the prototype concept as an honest Mexican experience tied to natural ingredients. Transporting guests into a natural, jungle-like experience in Tulum, Mexico, the design delivers a warm and sandy color palette of textures that grounds it in an earthen feeling. Lush botanicals enliven the surroundings and serve as a key definer of the experience, creating the impression of dining on the edge of the jungle.
CORE partnered with Silver Falcon Capital to develop a new fast-casual prototype concept called Summerbird, that translates the client’s vision to celebrate both the American love affair with crispy and grilled chicken and the innate nostalgia of summertime. Taking inspiration from playing fields, parks, and public pools to evoke the warmth and energy of Summer, the design plays up bright colors, warm lighting, vibrant greenery, and natural woods.
The unchallenged grandeur of a city that still draws breath, confined to a space that emulates Roman architecture, Baardos La Citta , a fine dining venue is weaved into the urban fabric of the city – Delhi, India. The design identity being inconsequential to its surroundings, creates an ecosystem within, to disconnect its users from the outside world.
With rudimentary elements encompassing the site, the artistic language of this spatial magnificence mimics the inward-looking Domus to avert the user’s eye from the crummy view. The nonchalant viewer experiences serenity through this unconventional milieu offering exquisite food, refreshing greenery, a grand waterfall, and natural sunlight, all while being indoors.
