Schenker Salvi Weber and feld72 shape the new corporate headquarters of Post AG on Vienna’s Rochusmarkt. The building ensemble is a composition of the highest quality which not only skilfully combines old and new but also features contemporary interior architecture which is distinguished by the open communication areas in the offices and the design of the mall. The integration of the building into the urban context enables it to enter into dialogue with its surroundings.

Dotted with limestone pinnacles, the World Heritage seascape of Halong Bay is Vietnam’s biggest attraction. Aedas-designed Alacarte Halong Bay Condotel Development occupies a prime seafront plot with large sweeps of unobstructed views towards the heritage site.
Hariri Pontarini Architects worked in close collaboration with St. Thomas Commercial Developments Inc. to design 7 St. Thomas, a building that harmonizes retail and commercial design through an inventive interplay of form and light, blending Victorian and contemporary materials to create a unified work. Six heritage townhouses are integrated into a three-storey podium, with a sinuous six-storey tower above. The development houses retail at ground level and condominium office spaces throughout, blending high design, ecological responsibility, and civic enhancement.
The Market Hall is a sustainable combination of food, leisure, living and parking, fully integrated to celebrate and enhance the synergetic possibilities of the different functions. A secure, covered square emerges beneath an arc, conceived as an inversion of a typical market square and its surrounding buildings. During the day it serves as central market hall, after hours the hall becomes an enormous, covered, well lit public space.

A newly developed XL formula for Albert Heijn where the focus point is fresh and really good food. With more than 200 quality products added to it’s assortment and staff as “masters” of their departments, this is the market-place where you can find everything you need.
SPARK has completed the design of Gateway One a 71,600-square-metre mixed-use development and transportation hub for China Merchants. Located in Shenzhen South China the 110-metre-high, 27-storey office tower and five retail pavilions are connected by landscaped terraces that combine to create a unique naturally ventilated retail and business destination for the lively Skekou district of the city. The buildings sit over and adjacent to a new transportion hub that includes a bus terminal and the Seaworld subway station.

With a height of 411 meters, the building comes under the high-rise building category of the “super-high skyscrapers” of the CTBUH, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. This means that the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners are putting up their highest building ever on the third plot. Design activities for the first two building plots (A and B) had already started after the gmp master plan obtained first prize in the competition at the beginning of last year. Now the client has also given the go-ahead for the third building plot (C). The site lies to the south-west of the inner city next to the trade exhibition grounds, and is the key project for linking two urban axes of the Hexi New Town development.
KDA redesigned 1,800m2 of luxury goods retail space on the ground floor of Selfridges & Co’s famous Oxford Street store. Finding inspiration in the way stores fit neatly behind the existing architecture of London’s Victorian shopping arcades, and in the notion of wunderkammer – room-sized displays of interesting or exotic objects – KDa created the Wonder Room, a spaced that housed “a luxury goods emporium with the energy of a souk.”
With over 10 million inhabitants, Bangkok continues to grow into its urban form. Architectkidd’s approach for The Street Ratchada attempts to introduce urban characteristics into a newly developing neighborhood outside of the central metropolitan area. Comprising of cafes, restaurants and other retail functions, The Street Ratchada creates new exterior and semi-interior urban spaces to engage with the surrounding people and community.
Located on the European side of Istanbul , the Maslak quarter is one of the most important business districts of the metropolis. Here slapa oberholz pszczulny | sop architekten has built the Orjin Maslak Plaza, a high-rise office block of the highest standards.
Besides office space, the 16-storey building also offers a food court, conference centre and several retail units on the ground floor and its two basements – ideal for meeting the high demand for such services locally. The office levels are highly flexible and can accommodate all the usual forms of office organisation, including individual, shared and open-plan offices.
