Betili concept store – presenting two of the chain store branches in Tel Aviv, Israel by Samuelov Studio

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

Article source: Samuelov Studio

Development of a new design concept for the largest home design retail chain in Israel. The design emphasizes the size of Betili and its leadership in the field, though, among other things, a trendy and confident substantial language of concrete and raw wood and an open and very spacious planogram. A sculptural “Avenue of the Accessories” structure, accompanies the customers from the entrance into the depth of the store, thus emphasizing the unique Betili interdependence between furniture and matching accessories. The store’s centerpiece is the “Betili Studio” where customers can take an active part in designing various furniture, selecting finishing materials and planning furniture settings fitting their home. This customer empowerment allows the retailer to take over the home design domain and strengthen its position as THE dominant signature in that domain.

NeuBau3 in Linz, Austria by Zechner & Zechner ZT GmbH

Sunday, March 25th, 2018

Article source: Zechner & Zechner ZT GmbH

Completion of the listed complex by Peter Behrens

Compared to the original building by Peter Behrens, who in the 1930s created an internationally regarded masterpiece of Modernism with Tabakfabrik Linz, the new development added in the early 1980s was not of the same architectural standard.

The 80s addition was demolished, releasing a site that the Linz authorities thought would be the perfect location for the main building of the Tabakfabrik complex and, based on its key geographical role in the fabric of the city, they decided it would be a historic chance to positively impact the development of the city.

Thursday, March 15th, 2018

Article source: LABICS

Winning competition entry for the redevelopment of an urban area, including the transformation of an existing bus depot to integrate a mixture of uses including office, retail space and residential units.

This project is part of the Municipality of Rome’s initiative to redevelop a number of transport depots within the city in conjunction with local public transport authority ATAC. It involves the regeneration of a neighborhood with a weak identity but with good growth potential due to its location at the edge of the city centre. Labics’ aim therefore was to create a new centre for the local community, but also to increase its profile as a place of transition with privileged access to the city centre.
