The Project is located in Convento (Chone) a rural area in the Ecuadorian coast, in an overwhelming natural environment where the presence of large forest of bamboo, a small creek running in front of the field and two rainforest mountains that surround the plot, became the perfect scenario to be potentiated through the project and generate the required relation between the owners and the landscape.

This third winery of the Plumpjack group is expected to produce elegant and feminine wines, which they sought to reflect in the architecture. The side view of the facility evokes the sweeping curve of a swan’s wing, inspired by the Tchaikovsky ballet character Odette.

KHMERESQUE in Batambang, Cambodia by Archium + Kim in-cheurl

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014

Article source: Archium + Kim in-cheurl

Building a temple of Won Buddhism that is based on Mahayana Buddhism on Cambodia ,the Hinayana Buddhist country, makes me consider the relationship between religion and architecture as a whole. In addition to this, the meeting between symbol of the religious buildings and local traditions was something to be considered. The changes of architecture style have been with the process of combining religious style with traditions from Hindu to Buddhism. Won Buddhism is relatively young, having a mere 100 years of history, and does not have a striking architectural symbol or style. Rather than focusing on this drawback, Won Buddhism has linked itself to Khmer culture. In previous works with Won Buddhism, it is clear that religious architectural style cannot simply be set and shaped just with a proclamation; on the contrary, developing for a religion to develop a real architectural style takes a considerable amount of time. Therefore, it must be started with respect to histories and philosophies.

New building Drehmo Wenden in Germany by wurm + wurm architekten

Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

Article source: wurm + wurm architekten

In Wenden, the southernmost town of the german region of Sauerland electro mechanical actuators for water management, the power plant sector and the oil and gas industry are manufactured.

The special cut of the new building of the Drehmo GmbH is owed the topographical situation in this region. The moving landscape caused the terracing of the landscape and produces irregularly shaped lot. The unusual floor plan, generated by this contour, and the hillside situation with a view over the valley determine the character and exceptional styling.

Madrid Digital Arts Museum by Selim Senin

Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

Article source: Selim Senin

The plot selected for the design of the digital arts museum is in such a spot where the historic buildings of Madrid are dense, access is provided with narrow roads, squares which form urban spaces are rare. To the north of the site the square in front of Valle Inclantheater takes place and to the northwest Lavapies Square takes place. These squares are the of rare spaces that can be found among the densely built attached blocks.

COPENHAGEN MODERN LIBRARY in Denmark by Selim Senin

Tuesday, December 16th, 2014

Article source: Selim Senin

The main specialty of Danish culture is HYGGE. To reflect this cultural specialty on the project, spaces where people can spend time together, talk to each other, enjoy the scenery, make sportive activities, make presentations, and watch movies at night, etc. have been adopted. Three different routes have been planned to reach the terraces on which people can socialize. Our proposal is not merely a library to enter but a platform on which urban life keeps continuing thus a building which integrates with the city. As a response to classical repellant cognition of libraries, the building has a potential which can form an urban focus and where people would like to enjoy their day and night.
