Article source: Martens Willems Humblé Architecten A private house at the Klevarie site in Maastricht. Within the historic city walls this was before an old monastery garden, later a hospital and nursing home. But always served as hidden green space for the site. In our urban plan for the site we cherished this green space. The gate on the abstreet functions as a ‘pars pro toto’ for this project. The charming modernist nursing home of the architect Schellinckx from 1962 still stands at the site A unique modernist incident within the cityscape for Maastricht standards.

Article source: TAM Architecture A little house built on a piece of land in the neighborhood of Santa Celina, in the south of Mar del Plata. The area is known for its abundance of trees and greenery. The property is centrally located on a Pampean-Argentinian block. The site is unique as it contains an atypical level drop towards the main street. To the front, a wide tree-lined street. To the back, facing north, a picturesque green pedestrian space. The house is compact. Although it has limited floor space, the design manages to offer multiple circulation paths which all converge in a central semi-sunken courtyard.

Article source: Foster + Partners The centrepiece venue for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ – played host to the Lusail Super Cup final between Saudi Pro League champions, Al Hilal SFC and the Egyptian Premier League winners, Zamalek on 9 September. The match was seen as a precursor to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ that will be played later this year. Luke Fox, Head of Studio, Foster + Partners, said: “It was a delight to be at the game and see the stadium nearly filled with spectators for the first time. Our ambition was to create a striking yet simple form that reflects the building’s function, responds to the climate of Qatar and enhances the theatre of the event. The arrival experience is intuitive and immersive. Spectators enter the vessel between two tiers of seating that have been intentionally compressed to heighten the sense of drama as they emerge into the generous seating bowl flooded with natural light.”

Article source: Jonathan Canetti Architecture & Design Lumen is a high tech company that operates in the field of health and wellness. Their headquarters are located on the entire 10th floor in one Tel-aviv’s newest office buildings, right in the heart of the city’s business district. As a rapidly growing tech company it was clear from the beginning that the project would be done in two stages. While the first was designed in 2019 (and completed in 2020, during the first months of the pandemic), the second stage was designed a year and a half later, when living with the pandemic called for a change of concept in the design. This project is a clear example of the effects the COVID-19 pandemic had on everyday life.

Article source: Ressano Garcia Arquitectos This project aims to recover the set of ruins on the agricultural property of Fazenda de São Bartolomeu. The Existing Situation The whole is more like a small village where each building is a distinct part of its neighbor. A rich variety of typologies appears and yet there is a profound uniformity in the whole. The old facilities dedicated to agriculture were built and adapted according to new needs. The replacement of people by the machine brought changes in use.

Article source: Marcelo Salum Located in Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo, the project was conceived for a single young man who wanted an apartment that reflected his cosmopolitan lifestyle. As he lived alone, one request was to modify the original apartment plan, integrating one of the three bedrooms with the living room and increasing the social area space to receive friends. In addition, the balcony was closed and integrated into the living room, creating an area of about 75m² that includes a dining room, living room, and gourmet kitchen with bar.
