Wednesday, June 20th, 2018

Article source: Studio mk27

Comfort and building maintenance throughout the years are two fundamental aspects for houses built in tropical areas next to the sea, where the high temperatures and the effect of the sea air determine the extreme local conditions. The White House project, located on a beautiful Brazilian beach, on the northern coast of São Paulo, made these questions as determinant to organize the plan and for the selection of materials to be used.

CR House in São José dos Campos, Brazil by Obra Arquitetos

Thursday, June 7th, 2018

Article source: Obra Arquitetos

The main request of the couple was to make a house with roof and great offer of external area. We proposed a large sloping roof in metal structure and L-shaped installation, where the yard turned into a large lawn fully integrated with the internal space. The large frames allow the total opening of the spaces on the ground floor by diluting the boundaries between the interior and exterior. Still on the ground floor there is a service and kitchen core that does not have access to the central lawn.

Article source: AMBIDESTRO

ATUM is a shared workspace that focuses is the quality of life at work. Designed in an area of 200 square meters, inside a mall, the space has as its theme the flexibility of different uses. All furniture was designed and thought to be changeable. During the day the scenario is a co-working and at the night it turns into a space to host events and lectures. The concept of quality of life was explored through creating different visuals for each workstation. Some tables were positioned facing windows with the park view, the other stations were proposed in a concept of green islands, whose plants are a mobile core surrounded by stands of different heights forming a modular composition. A natural wooden bookcase with 25m length serves as a background to the space. Different formats of workstations and lounges set the scene generating a timeless and innovated ambiance. Parallel to the bookshelf, a black linear block has been created with individual rooms, meeting room, support area and a mini gallery that serves to demarcate the main entrance. The layout designed aimed the sharing environments bringing a new way of working within a commercial space.

Vila Amélia in Sertãozinho, Brazil by VAGA

Wednesday, May 9th, 2018

Article source: VAGA

Dwelling in Sertãozinho-SP, Brazil built through the “Minha Casa Minha Vida” program, offering attractive financing conditions for low-income families.

Memorial

The rough, sturdy exterior of the stone contains and protects the preciousness in its interior. By closing itself to the street, the building conserves in its center what in it exists of most valuable, the void. The patio here plays the role of an articulation element and stage for everyday life. The existence of the central space as an event and nucleus of spatial organization is an incentive to the encounter of people and collective coexistence.

From the restinga to the intervention plan, the project for a single-family residence in Atami has as its starting point in the invitation to bonding. From the demands for design, moments of relaxation in the family topped the list of problems to be solved; Perhaps, if not for sure, this justifies the four suites that compose the superior volume of the residence that still contains a spacious Master Suite.
