The New Padel Pavillion in Curitiba, Brazil by Saboia+Ruiz Arquitetos

Sunday, April 29th, 2018

Article source: Saboia+Ruiz Arquitetos

The New Padel Pavillion softens with its presence the material frontiers between public and private space at the Parolin neighborhood in Curitiba, Brazil. This is specially noticed during the day, due to the players flows around the club headquarters, or during the evening, when the pavilion acts as a significant, LED light, urban lamp. The physical impermeability, common to massive private sport pavilions, is reduced in this project for the simplicity of its architectonic strategy based in three elements: limits defined by green walls, base in podium and encasement as a suspended box.

Article source: João Diniz Architecture Ltda

Early in 2015 Bruno Barros a young musician/ engineer completing his education at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. decided to create a destination studio in Belo, Horizonte. His family retained famed Brazilian architect João Diniz to design a luxury home overlooking the Minas Gerais mountain range. Barros knew it was critical for the architect and the acoustician/studio designer to begin their collaboration at the earliest planning phase to insure the studios optimal acoustic environment. Henrique Portugal, keyboard player for top Brazilian band Skank, recommended Belo Horizonte-based WSDG Walters-Storyk Design Group partner/director of design (and Latin Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer) Renato Cipriano to Barros, and the wheels were put in motion. Construction began in 2015 and the studio opened in late 2017.

B&W Apartment in São Paulo, Brazil by Diego Revollo Arquitetura

Monday, April 9th, 2018

Article source: Diego Revollo Arquitetura

The decorative composition of this apartment is the result of a trend that has been gaining strength in recent years: that of a minimal, clean décor, in which the sobriety of the whole is punctuated by specific pieces. The outcome is based on the assumption that we now live with less; there is no room to accumulate little things, nor is there time to enjoy them. It is necessary to reinvent and remodel to a trend that’s here to stay, hence the proposition of this stripped-down lifestyle, compatible with the daily life of the client.

Complexo Dom Pedro in São Paulo, Brazil by FGMF Architects

Friday, March 30th, 2018

Article source: FGMF Architects

Some years ago we were invited to design the Dom Pedro Complex project: two entire clubs, with headquarters, entrances and sports and leisure outdoor areas. The architecture should propose a unique identity for both clubs, but at the same time design independently flows organization, spaces, dimensions, relation with views and surroundings. Almost like two projects in one.

Friday, March 23rd, 2018

Article source: Pablo Padin Arquiteto

The Reserva House is a unifamiliar house, located in a gated community near São Paulo megalopolis, in the industrial city of Jundiaí. The idea of the Project consists in promoting the Family gathering. Its lower floor is a social open space that looks outside to the tropical garden that surrounds the building. The large span slab creates big spaces without partitions. It was used a reinforced concrete grid structure system, not very common in unifamiliar houses, that gives an industrial signature to the construction.
