Article source: Migliore + Servetto Architects

For the first edition of space&interiors, at The Mall – Porta Nuova, Migliore + Servetto Architects designed an innovative concept of exhibition center. The interior is designed on the basis of a double register: on one hand the commercial purpose offers a detailed analysis of each products on display; on the other hand, an analytical approach allows a dialectic comparison between them.

AB apartment in Milan, Italy by DUEDIQUATTRO

Thursday, April 28th, 2016

Article source: DUEDIQUATTRO

The apartment, located inside a charming early 20th-century building, was completely redesigned in order to better respond to the occupants’ needs, without altering its « retro appeal ». The project therefore mixes a vintage decor with contemporary furniture and 20th century design pieces. The kitchen furniture and the cupboards were custom-designed. The beautiful original windows and wooden floor were kept and restored; in the bathrooms and in the kitchen, instead, the floor and wall tiles, which had been previusly replaced, were changed. In the living room, the elaborated coffered ceiling was restored and repainted; the walls were painted dark green, a strong color which enhances the original decoration and the character of this room.

The installation conceived by Migliore+Servetto Architects, B&B Italia / The Perfect Density, identifies the concept of density as the narrative fulcrum to celebrate the 50th anniversary of B&B Italia. “Density” is taken as a feature of B&B Italia’s identity in a broad sense: from the product physical and material nature to the conceptual one. Density of ideas and projects, always projecting the company into the future, through a continuous drive for innovation.

Office and Data Processing Center Building in Milan, Italy by Giussaniarch – Roberto Giussani / Andrea Balestrero

Sunday, March 13th, 2016

Article source: Giussaniarch – Roberto Giussani / Andrea Balestrero

The building, which houses offices and a data processing center, aims to complete the building curtain of a block situated at the intersection of three urban axes. Its minimum volumetric articulation sets a moment of \”silence\” and abstraction against the linguistic overlapping of the context. The uniformity of prospects is obtained thanks to an innovative double membrane filtering façade system, provided with vertical sheets in silk-screen printed glass, which automatically pivot according to the incidence of sunlight to optimise internal lighting and heating conditions.

Town House Duomo 21 – Suite 11 in Milan, Italy by Massimo Magaldi

Friday, March 4th, 2016

Article source: Massimo Magaldi

The project is part of the conversion to 5 star luxury hotel of some floors of historic buildings of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II monument and North side Porches of Piazza Del Duomo in Milan. The design of the “Suite 11” has focused on the reduction of the internal partitions and the use of simple and clear geometries. The tactile surfaces (such as wood and rough ceramic) and warm colors create an intimate and domestic space, while the mirror surfaces and the transparent sliding doors amplify the volumes and let the sights play. No luxuries and no glitters, but soft and warm lights and design furniture reduced to the essential, provides a reinterpratation of a typical milanese approach to design. This strategy was thougtht as the best way to get the spirituality of the place and the cathedral inside the suite, inspiring a sense of belonging and inner peace in the guest.

A green bridge in Milan, Italy by Gianluca milesi architecture

Friday, February 26th, 2016

Article source: Gianluca milesi architecture

”The Net”

A bridge is built to connect two points and to remove an obstacle.

The “Bussa” is the bridge connecting two parts of the city of Milan separated by a high speed road, a train line and tall buildings. but is closed do the public and in state of neglect and decay.

But a bridge is a connection, so we thought the our project should emphasize this idea of connection.

We thought to a structural “Net” as the physical and symbolic imagine of the project.

Salaino 10 residential building in MILAN, Italy by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners

Saturday, February 20th, 2016

Article source: Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners

The operation calls for the urban renewal of the area and its conversion for residential use. The total reconfiguration of the volumes of the area has been made possible by the autonomous character of the construction, which is now an isolated building inside an enclosed garden, with walls along the street, and bordered by a transparent enclosure toward the greenery, permitting the residents to perceive it as a single green zone continuous with the Solari Park.
