Located in the city of Jundiaí on a corner plot, the house is built on a main floor and a lower floor that emerged from the use of the natural topography of the lot, which practically did not change.
Meeting the residents’ desire to obtain large spaces in a light atmosphere, using delicate colors, this project seeks to value two important characteristics of the apartment: its great natural light and its large social area.
Comfort and building maintenance throughout the years are two fundamental aspects for houses built in tropical areas next to the sea, where the high temperatures and the effect of the sea air determine the extreme local conditions. The White House project, located on a beautiful Brazilian beach, on the northern coast of São Paulo, made these questions as determinant to organize the plan and for the selection of materials to be used.
This house located at Nova Granada, a city located at approximately 500km of São Paulo city (Bra-zil), was design by Estúdio HAA!. It respects some principles initially established, some relative to the studio’s production, and some to the client’s preferences.
The project is located on the paulista shore in the region of the Rain Forest and the land has a mountainous topography with dense vegetation. The introduction of this house to this landscape has the objective of optimizing the connection between architecture and nature, privileging the view looking out to the ocean and the incidence of sunlight in the internal spaces. Furthermore, the positioning of the house on the site obeyed the previously-open area in the vegetation.
Located in an area of neighborhoods called Jardins, with single-family houses and green areas listed as heritage, this house has 550m² of built area divided into two levels, the ground and upper floors. The original land had a four-meter slope height in relation to the level of the street.
Thus, on the ground floor we have lodged garage, storehouses, technical facilities, part of services, servants’ quarters with pantry, and accesses through internal and external staircases.
The exhibition project conceived by Migliore+Servetto Architects for “Steve Jobs o visionàrio” exhibition, created and produced by Fullbrand at the Pier Mauà in Rio de Janeiro and then at the MIS in San Paolo, builds a path of knolewdge structured in narrative cells which allow the visitor from time to time to establish a new relationship with the contents of the exhibition.
The decorative composition of this apartment is the result of a trend that has been gaining strength in recent years: that of a minimal, cleandécor, in which the sobriety of the whole is punctuated by specific pieces. The outcome is based on the assumption that we now live with less; there is no room to accumulate little things, nor is there time to enjoy them. It is necessary to reinvent and remodel to a trend that’s here to stay, hence the proposition of this stripped-down lifestyle, compatible with the daily life of the client.
Some years ago we were invited to design the Dom Pedro Complex project: two entire clubs, with headquarters, entrances and sports and leisure outdoor areas. The architecture should propose a unique identity for both clubs, but at the same time design independently flows organization, spaces, dimensions, relation with views and surroundings. Almost like two projects in one.
The Reserva House is a unifamiliar house, located in a gated community near São Paulo megalopolis, in the industrial city of Jundiaí. The idea of the Project consists in promoting the Family gathering. Its lower floor is a social open space that looks outside to the tropical garden that surrounds the building. The large span slab creates big spaces without partitions. It was used a reinforced concrete grid structure system, not very common in unifamiliar houses, that gives an industrial signature to the construction.
