Article source: MOVEDESIGN This place is an Italian restaurant with bakery shop located “NERO. BOTANICA”, the commercial building in Iizuka, Fukuoka, Japan. Starting to plan, we considered radical attraction of restaurant and the current way. That used to be a special thing an age ago to go out for dinner with family or couple. However, it spoils “added value” in exchange for the convenience, that we enjoy meals in the different space from daily life and spend a special time with someone important. La Sofia, the concept is “for family” but yet to serve high-quality Italian not to permit compromise on selecting ingredients and cooking method. Morning, lunch and dinner, the expression of the space change every second throughout time axis and we designed to suit this place for each scene. Fresh morning for breakfast, active air for lunch time and relaxing calm atmosphere for dinner time. Furthermore, those materials are changing their expression richly every time passes, remain in people visit there. We designed this place as a special existence there is no other way like “Place of the memory in childhood”.
