Article source: feeling Design At the initial design stage, considering limited space of project site and client’s large capacity requirement, feeling Design proposed a special design for plan layout with inspiration of Paper Folding.
In this tight space, Beauty is not the only effect we consider. Likewise, we also consider multi-functions. For example, the compound long desk in the meeting room, its main function is seating, but it also has functions of double-side displaying and storage. The hanging cabinet against the wall, it is not just a storage space but also offers lighting; even the sign design on the glass door, it also integrates with paper folding element as to interact with the space better. With so many multi-function spaces, a folding space came out and perfectly solved the contradiction between the reality and the client’s need. This paper folding creativity is simple but effective. It controlled the budget through using easy accessible materials. The main materials of this space are wood veneer, concrete and custom-made metal components. We strengthen the connection and intimacy between people and space through small adjustments to the shape and proportion of the materials. Introduction and Design Concept of feeling Design feeling Design believes that each space has its exclusive soul! We cannot describe the actual concept of space, just as people cannot identify soul. As spatial designers, We transfer “intangible space” into “functional space” with more acute sense and through one or more design approaches. feeling Design devotes to giving each space an exclusive soul, offering people a totally new sensory experience and creating collision and resonance between people and the space. Feeling Design focuses on the design of commercial space, exhibition space and brand environment–inspired by feeling, follow heart. Each space or brand has its unique body, giving them an exclusive soul is the pursuit that I am never bored with. I enjoy wandering among different brands, crossover collision is very interesting to me.
