Article source: Rogerio Gama Architecture The project constitutes an extension to the company MultPortas e Acabamentos, in the civil construction sector. Located in the city of the center-west of the state of São Paulo, in the city of Bauru. Company already traditional in its field of activity, and local tradition. They needed the local expansion, for expansion of products for sale of finishes and aggregates.
Thus, taking advantage of the slope of the terrain for the back street, and its already existing section, I expanded to continue the original structure model. Leaving a touch lighter, with glasses in a correlation of a store, to expose the products to both the passerby and to those who attend. The openings in glass are more attractive to the public, and accompany the predominant street direction by adding up at that point. The metal structure was adopted to overcome the spans, giving the decorative beauty of steel in the reddish details. And glass, as lighting and attractive to new customers; And interaction of external and internal environments. The access of this new expansion, customers entering, can see part of the operation and distribution of the company in operation. They pass through a helicoidal staircase, and like a small mezzanine in rest area has this possibility of accompaniment, giving more prestige to the company. On the outer side, it is a leisure area and a bar, as well, with access for disabled people by ramps, and this outdoor space is also more pleasant and flashy for those who circulate around the place and frequent. The workers’ accesses, in this part of the terrain, may have the possibility of the truck arriving at the end in distribution of the materials that are arriving, as well as this proposed new place, being a part for analyzes and conferences before distribution to customers and exhibitions of the products. The previous parts, which would be for the background of whoever observes the project, did not make changes, because there was a mezzanine, where the sketch shows; With sales parts, administrative controls, access to bathrooms and etc. In short, architectural design comes as operational parts; Like a beauty of a shop. Giving new impression to local commerce and its functions to what we are accustomed to observe. I think that the more pleasant, the more appropriate we will be for new customer pick-ups and improvement to employees in the best workplace. Contact Rogerio Gama Architecture
