Article source: Openbox Architects co.,ltd – Architectural design “The Line 101” has been created based on the key idea, “Living between the Line”. The expression, like in literature, refers to hidden, deeper meaning, beyond words, or visual appearances. Inspired by Davenport’s famous, modern painting, “The Waterfall”. The demographic group of residences, young, free, active and successful, are perceived as vertical stripes of colors, expressing themselves so lively, vividly and uniquely, to create a unique, dynamic work of art on the skyline of Sukhumvit.
Building mass design is design as sleek couple blocks, inspired by an image of a stylishly and beautifully dressed couple on a gala stroll. Verticality is chosen to be the building texture concept, displayed by expressing structure integrity, with finer texture of vertical window frames, ac grill and tints of multiples colors inserted in between. – Landscape design Landscape design focuses on creating outdoor space for activities for young and active residences. Based on the same painting that inspires the architecture, all landscape spaces symbolizes splashes where stream of color crashes down and breaks into pieces of colorful pixels. There are five main landscape spaces in the Line 101. First impression is a composition of ‘vertical stripes gate’ with colors in between. Then a colorful driveway leads to the second impression, the main drop-off landscape, focusing on bold and high contrast color scheme, combined with sculptural curves of feature planter at the center creating signature impression for the project. The third space is the extra long 50 meter swimming pool on the main 5th floor terrace has a colorful splash at one end. Another end runs through the lush ‘green garden’ that can turn into activities lawn for different function, outdoor party, a stage show, or a lawn for mini soccer game. The roof top is all about sports, from jogging tracks, jungle gym, and sport field. Contact Openbox Architects co.,ltd
