Water, flour and thousand-year old motions that smell like an everlasting good morning…The Bakery isn’t only a shop, it’s a treasure chest where the memory of mankind hides, a source of material, social and spiritual life. Calling it only a shop is impossible… even more difficult is to degrade it to a simple point of sale. Since the start this location was meant to be highly prestigious, a small precious stone set in the city, able to communicate its expressive depiction and its soul at first sight.

The Bakery sleds to the street with a large window through which the internal space seem to project into the city and vice versa. The visibility and the charm of the location catches the attention of pedestrians and cars, also thanks to the small green plant rack that the Bakery offers to the city. As soon as you enter, the feeling of being part of a portrait overwhelms you, a blank canvas where bread and all the products can emerge at their best with their colours and shapes. The counter and furniture dresses up in white to enhance the bright shades of displayed products, and the whole space becomes a lightened background where golden tonalities of bread leave their mark.

The lab becomes an integral part of the space, embellished by a pottery filigree dress, and welcomes the hectic work of skilled hands that knead, shape, bake…The lab is no longer a space to be hidden, it’s an environment where knowledge and human creativity is revealed, crammed with a sense of sacredness, which reflects in the care of the prestigious details. Also, enlightened objects seem to explode out of this space, reminding us not only of ancient times (linked to the production and display methods), but especially on our intellectual heritage (bread represents the knowledge and the level of civilization of a culture). These objects expand on the counter like knowledge expands to the future generation.

A delicate decoration made of wooden slats runs around the walls, as if the ceiling almost rested (or floated) on a hundred ears of wheat.
