It will never fail you.”Frank Lloyd Wright The iconic quote from one of the most famous architect from 20th Century which represents the quality and essence of nature. As an architect student, we acknowledge Wright as one of our teacher. We seek for the rental room or sort of townhouse to construct the office. Regardless, we found an empty whole 3rd floor of the building on Charoenrat-Road, Bangkok. This building is one of our friend and we decide to rent this 140.00 sq.m. to create the architect office.  Image Courtesy © Rungkit Charoenwat According to Wright’s concept, we decide to lose 15% of area at north and east of the building to create trees-balcony which formed by cobble stone floor, concrete planter, wooden floor and little gravel. These elements shaped the indoor-nature view and also the buffer for outdoor building and wires view. We also clad the balcony building column with teak wood which give us a look of big trees among the forest. People can walk around and found themselves feeling like walking on ground floor.  Image Courtesy © Rungkit Charoenwat  Image Courtesy © Rungkit Charoenwat There are 4 zones on the floor plan which are ARTi Architect office, share-meeting room, rental room for lighting design/graphic design and trees-balcony which can access through every zone. In addition, we choose the steel plate to clad the wall of meeting room, not only it is a good material to represent the rough of time but also it is a functional presentation wall which you can put a picture on the wall with magnet or present the whole architectural project without using any projector. The height of the room can be extended by not construct any ceiling on it, this cause the beams of 4th floor still being seen in the space, so we put the H-beam under the concrete beam to shape the room and filled that gap with transparent roof tiles. These material give us a clean image of natural colors such as black from steel, grey from concrete planter, brown from teak column, white from ceiling/wall and green from trees in concrete planter. We believe that the good environment shaped a good mental and also a good inspiration for designer. We wish to see the office that people willing to work and rest in balance of day and impress the visitor with my concept of bringing nature to 3rd floor.
