The Parisian practice Barrault Pressacco recently completed a social housing project in massive stone. The operation articulates an environmental approach to design whilst echoing the Hausmannian building tradition that characterizes the French capital. The use of this natural material equally contributes to the sense of wellbeing and comfort that permeate the project.
Masquespacio presents its last interior design project for lifestyle shop Gnomo, situated in the well acclaimed Valencia quarter Ruzafa.
The project has its departure from the store specialized in objects and decoration that decided to open in 2010 in Valencia as an ode to design and a particular lifestyle that seeks for originality and beautiful things as told by the owners. To celebrate their sixth birthday they decided to move to a new street in the popular quarter Ruzafa and count on Masquespacio for the design of their new home.
Sympatique is a project born of a couple passionate about pashminas. In their search of new projects and adventures they decide to found this shop with original pashminas, with unique prints and exclusive fabrics.

Corso Vittorio Emanuele Milan Italy | May 2015. For EXPO 2015, the largest italian Megastore just opened the doors, along the most important shopping street of Milano. Developed on 3 levels the new Flagship is the fourth store located in the heart of the Capital of italian fashion & design.
The FRESHIGH designed by dongqi Architects is located on South Shaanxi road, in the center of Shanghai. The primary task in this project is to renovate the retail store into an appealing space to attract more customers and let it merge into the surroundings. At the end, it was turned into a refreshing space with soft green color filled all around. Hiding in the historic neighborhood, the designer hopes that it could give a surprise to the people passing by. They could stop and relax for a cup of fresh juice, and then go back to daily life.
The building is part of the extremely dynamic renewal that is underway in the Clichy-Batignolles district, an area characterized in part by the convergence of railways leading to the Saint Lazare train station.
In this neighborhood, now well served by new public transportation, the predominance of mixed use programs and services (new courthouse, schools, cinemas, offices and apartment buildings) ensure this building on lot 7 will be surrounded by a quality environment.
This coffee kiosk in the middle of a courtyard in Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet is present and invisible at the same time. Due to a minimalistic structure and a maximum use of glass, the kiosk is sometimes no more than its slatted wooden ceiling, that runs from the outside to the interior, hardly interrupted by the facade. At the same time, the building is an eye catcher standing out because of its smooth, rounded, contemporary design features.
ICF La Sablière owns the Fulton block, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, on the banks of the Seine. The existing real estate complex known as “Fulton” was built in the 1950s by architect Daniel Michelin and is occupied by 133 dwellings. The site benefits from a very beautiful location, clear, in front of the seine, near the bridge of Bercy in the East and the museum of fashion and design at the West, a contemporary building realized by the architects Jakob + Macfarlane.
The Exhibition Road Quarter, designed by AL_A, is the largest construction project undertaken by the V&A since its main buildings in South Kensington were completed in 1909 under the direction of Sir Aston Webb. The project has transformed the former boiler house yard on London’s great cultural artery, Exhibition Road, to create a sequence of major new spaces that will redefine the V&A’s relationship with the street and the public:

The redesign of the space (previous name “Reload b/c”), which our architectural firm had undertaken in the past, so as, with the minimum changes and expenses, to achieve a brand new identity, was a great challenge for us.
Even though the management would remain the same, the main idea of operating the café would change to transform it into a coffee grinder’s with café services. This operation should transform the café, which initially had an industrial design, to a place more open to the customers, making them feel warm and cosy. At the same time, customers could witness the process of making different kinds of coffee! A great effort was placed on recycling the existing materials from the previous café, yet without living a trace of their past.
