NAUTICAL SPORTS DEVELOPMENT PROMOTION CENTER in Praia da Vagueira, Portugal by Rómulo Neto Arquitetos

November 14th, 2022 by Sumit Singhal

Article source: Rómulo Neto Arquitetos

The project was developed from the moment we accepted the invitation made by the Câmara Municipal of Vagos, to remodel a deactivated primary school, reproduced throughout our country on a large scale in the 20th century, between 1941 and 1969, at the time of the ‘Estado Novo’. We converted it into a training center for the development and promotion of water sports, and we presented our best solution with a reduced budget for the project and work. New internal spaces were created to achieve the owner’s goals, the flooring in the old classrooms was maintained because it was made of high-quality solid pine wood.

The brief for our client was to redesign the HQ for to create a space that would engage and motivate their staff following the return to the office after Covid. They wanted an workplace that catered to hybrid working giving them flexibility within the office. We introduced new spaces including a breakout space, meeting pods and informal meeting spaces to cater to their new needs and requirements. The canteen area was also a really important space for our client, as they wanted to give their employees a place to get away from their desks and interact with each other.

This Love Hotel designed by DIN interiorismo´s team took as starting point for the development of the concept the tatami —these traditional Japanese mats that were used to cover the floor of the main rooms for the purpose of rescuing the close connection that should exist between the space and the person who is going to inhabit it, referring to the sensibility of human beings.

In Toronto’s near suburbs, the sensitive redevelopment of low-density post WWII sprawl is a win-win opportunity whose time has come. Our residential condominium project is at the vanguard of this emerging phenomenon. The 2.5-hectare site ticks all the boxes- located along an underutilized arterial road in a forward-looking suburban municipality that has developed new planning guidelines for urbanization. Proposed at 6.46FSI, the density of our project is a model for development that addresses the housing shortage while at the same time establishing an environmentally responsible benchmark for preserving open space.

Ajoblanco in Mexico by DIN interiorismo

November 10th, 2022 by Sumit Singhal

Article source: DIN interiorismo

Ajoblanco is a restaurant, inspired in the Spanish Mediterranean cuisine, which asked DIN interiorismo´ s team to develop an interior design related to their menu. The Mediterranean Sea that bathes the Spanish shores was the concept defined for the color palette and the elements used to shape the design for this project.

The space used by the restaurant is divided in 3 levels, reason why it was very important to create a language to give unity to the whole concept taking advantage of the changes and the extent of the different areas.
