Article source: VRTIŠKA • ŽÁK / RAW ATELIER Newly renovated office building in Prague was designed by Prague based studio VRTIŠKA • ŽÁK, together with a Brno based RAW ATELIER. The client is an international business company, focused on an environmental sustainability. This project purely reflects natural approach and materials. The goal was to create Dominant item of the building interiors is a 21m height vertical garden, where the plants are grown. The moisture system is computer controled. Another eyecatcher, once you enter the main lobby is a white polygonal „interior facade“ made out of laquered aluminium profiles. It gives to the lobby dynamic, yet calm feeling.
All together combined with a laquered glass cladings, corian reception and a barrisol lightup ceiling. In this ground floor, you can find an office restaurant with a foyer facade looking ceiling. Here the principle was placed in a horizontal position to make a floating effect of the ceiling and to cover the instalations. The space is divided again with vertical green wall. With lacobel clading, wooden furniture, bar and a blackboard to communicate a seasonal offers. The meeting rooms in upper floors are made as a wooden box frame, implemented into an existing space. Meeting rooms are equiped with privalight glass technology, which allows the users to mild the glass only by touching a button. Executive offices are made in a Pandomo materiál, in combination with steel sheets cladings. These cladings can be used as a magnetic board to hang a photographs or a personal pictures. All together again in a combination with wooden furniture. Clubroom, is a room equiped with hidden storage and a fireplace. The room zones are divided with a pile of wooden logs, stored in a metal frame. Together with the spaces also a terraces were redesigned in a way to create more user friendly surrounding and more natural touch. In a building, there is also newly made employee fitness. Created as a rough, yet cosy space with an accent on colors and materials. One wall mirror with build in doors gives more space and more light to the interior, toilets, cabins and a showers are in a wooden block, floor made in a green rubber gives to the space the feel of energy and is well combined with red color in the showers. The rest of the space is made in concrete structures and all the ceiling instalations are exposed to create more industrial surrounding. Together with the green floor in fitness, you can find a similar color in a garage. Garage is made all in one green color with grass upper line element to reach a postive vibes.
