Article source: Idea Asociados BBVA Centro Operativo is an office tower of the BBVA Bancomer Corporate located in Mexico City. The project was designed by the international firm SOM who collaborated with the Mexican firm IDEA Asociados to carry out the architectural direction of the project and FitOut since 2013, until its inauguration in February 2016.
This operative center consists of a 30-street level tower and 9 levels of parking in the basement; it is a project that has LEED Gold certification. For the development of this building the first thing that was considered was the quality that, in balance with sustainable mechanical systems, materials and finishes with high content of recycled elements -among other characteristics- resulted in a highly efficient and productive working environment. The project progressed timely and in due form thanks to the great experience and ability in Project Management of IDEA Asociados´s team which, following pre-established processes of BBVA, made the necessary adjustments for new, clear, and effective processes in other areas. They also made sure to maintain constant and effective communication with the different related teams, both with the bank (BBVA), and with the Project Management (JLL), Construction Management (HILL) and its multiple consultants and suppliers.
