Article source: BVN in association with Jasmax The B:HIVE is a newest offering of co-working space in Auckland; it's also the first co-working offering on the North Shore. Located on the Smales Farm precinct, the client’s goal for B:HIVE is to create a progressive office space, with green sensibility. It provides a broader social hub, a far cry from a cold business park. The design aims to reflect the client’s ethical commitment with place-making and community connections.
The building itself (B5) is 16,500m² and will provide a range of offices spaces for innovative and creative businesses. It features an office partitioning system and shared (between tenants) meeting rooms to provide the ultimate in tenant flexibility. The ground-floor includes event and large meeting spaces. A key feature of the building is a central atrium and spiral staircase. It provides a vibrant focal point while allowing in plenty of natural light to all levels. Along with the main building is a 2,500m² extension that will have car parking, hospitality and retail offerings. This project has been delivered by BVN in association with Jasmax.
