The chocolate bar is situated in a pleasant part at Prague 6 Vokovice with good access to the subway station ,,A’’ Bořislavka and directly on the opposite side of the elementary school at ,,Na Dlouhém lánu” street. The exact address is ,,K lánu 496/2’’. Basically, this is not a standard cafe bar, but chocolate bar. Of course, you will find all the necessary services, that you are used to have in the cafe (delicious coffee, perfect breakfast and wine too). Everything is prepared directly in the preparation room at the bar. There was a minimarket in the area before, so it was a rather demanding reconstruction. A space had to to be re-appraised. The total space is 83.7m2, the main room itself has 66.7m2. In the background there are preparation room, staff base, men’s, ladies’ and handicap’s toilets.

The authors of the idea – the founders of MUA – aim to transform the empty building into an urban space that become a platform for the young and free minded artists to create and share, implement and execute new ideas.
This coffee kiosk in the middle of a courtyard in Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet is present and invisible at the same time. Due to a minimalistic structure and a maximum use of glass, the kiosk is sometimes no more than its slatted wooden ceiling, that runs from the outside to the interior, hardly interrupted by the facade. At the same time, the building is an eye catcher standing out because of its smooth, rounded, contemporary design features.
Open House is located in the Central Embassy complex 50m above Bangkok. Within this vast 4,600sqm double-height interior, a village of spaces has been created, each with a familiar human scale – restaurants, lounges, bars, galleries, stores, pop-ups, libraries and workspaces that all seamlessly fit together. A space that anyone can feel comfortable in, feel at home in, spend all day in, relax in and be inspired in. A place to hang out, a place to play, a place to catch up on work and a place to eat and drink.
Vilius Dringelis studio were commissioned to create a complete cafe design concept. It included: interior, exterior, a signboard, tables, shelves, custom products, packagings, a logotype, a brand book, food and drink menus and all other graphic design works. We wanted to create an aesthetic, contemporary place for public with an exclusive and distinctive atmosphere. For example, letters in the logotype are damaged, in order to convey a strong message about strange feelings.
The Exhibition Road Quarter, designed by AL_A, is the largest construction project undertaken by the V&A since its main buildings in South Kensington were completed in 1909 under the direction of Sir Aston Webb. The project has transformed the former boiler house yard on London’s great cultural artery, Exhibition Road, to create a sequence of major new spaces that will redefine the V&A’s relationship with the street and the public:

The redesign of the space (previous name “Reload b/c”), which our architectural firm had undertaken in the past, so as, with the minimum changes and expenses, to achieve a brand new identity, was a great challenge for us.
Even though the management would remain the same, the main idea of operating the café would change to transform it into a coffee grinder’s with café services. This operation should transform the café, which initially had an industrial design, to a place more open to the customers, making them feel warm and cosy. At the same time, customers could witness the process of making different kinds of coffee! A great effort was placed on recycling the existing materials from the previous café, yet without living a trace of their past.
The new Palace of Justice in Córdoba is located in Arroyo del Moro which is characteristically dominated by anonymous housing blocks, products of the rapid urban development of 21st century Spanish cities. The blocks that characterize the urban fabric of the zone were not capable of generating public space or offering something new to the city, but collectively they form a compact and coherent urban identity. The addition of a public institution to the area creates the opportunity to upgrade the public realm and add a civic quality to this relatively new neighborhood.
Thanks to Kafe Francin, a café situated just across a tram stop on Strossmayerovo náměstí, the people waiting for a tram have a reason to postpone their departure. A neon sign on each of two large windows leaves no one in doubt about what’s happening inside. We bake and roast, you can read as they shine in day and night. The merge of these two activities is the main characteristics of the unusual place.
