Article source: DJA Exposition of Jelgava St. Trinity Church Tower is designed as a contemporary interior installation, which clearly separates the historical heritage from the contemporary implementation. The historic masonry walls of the tower have been left intact, exposing the interior of the historic building. The exposition is interactive and integrates the latest technologies, which allows the history of Jelgava to be revealed gradually. When entering the exposition premises, visitors can see the exhibits and their descriptions, while the invisible part of the exposition is hidden in various mechanically movable elements and multimedia. Such a principle of exploring the exposition allows not only to create a space not oversaturated with information, but also makes visitors interested in seeing the invisible, hearing the inaudible, feeling the lost Jelgava. The exposition is painted in a monolithic light gray color, which both allows to create a homogeneous, sculptural interior, and makes a reference to the historical bright interior of the church. The exposition is made on three floors with different themes.

Article source: Mendoza Partida & BAX Studio Art Sauna is a continuation of the emotional journey that the Gösta Serlachius Museum offers visitors. The new construction, subtle, intimate and domestic in scale, joins the site and blends in with the scenario of dialogue between art, nature and architecture that it proposes. Architecture practices Mendoza Partida (Héctor Mendoza, Mara Partida) and BAX Studio (Boris Bezan), winners in 2011 of the international competition organized by the Serlachius Foundation to extend its museum with the construction of the Gösta pavilion, have brought the logic and common sense they applied then to the new space. To this end, one of the main architectural principles in the design of Art Sauna involved integrating the building into the jpurney, merging it with the terrain and making it part of the landscape.
The Guard Patrol in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Czech Republic by Mjölk architektiNovember 23rd, 2022 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: Mjölk architekti The ridge of the Stráž mountain towers above Rokytnice. Its western end descends to the rushing waters of the Jizera river and continues eastwards along the Sachrův and Vlčí ridges to the mystical mountain Kotel. The Stráž mountain, or Strážník as the locals call it, was one of the places where signals were sent by fire when enemy armies invaded our lands. The smoke signal was then received by other patrols at Kozákov and sent deeper into Bohemia. Today, fortunately, the fires on the surrounding hills are no longer burning. Rokytnice nad Jizerou has new guards. The town is watched over by four patrons from the coat of arms. Perched on top of the Strážník, they symbolize the four villages that combined to form the town of Rokytnice in ancient times – the Fox, the Bear, the Sheep and the Miner – The Guard Patrol.

Article source: QARTA Architektura Vision Although Karlín started out as an industrial district of Prague, it has transformed dramatically during the last few decades. In the everyday life of the wider Prague city center it plays a part determined largely by this ongoing transformation. Considering all the requirements of modern living, Karlín has become popular for housing, work and leisure. For the new Fragment Apartments we have come up with a unique and visually strong architecture, which is responsive to the context, both past and future. In addition to formal and functional aspects, a natural connection to the surrounding public space is what extends the building out, makes it more accessible and completes it visually and functionally. A monumental David Černý sculpture is an integral part of the program, resulting from artistic collaboration on the project from the very beginning.

Article source: Loto Ad Project Ground floor, where the large hall and the reception desk develop horizontally, and where the office of a publicly traded company finds place together with other meeting and training rooms; on the second floor, spaces are dedicated to co-working, to a recreational space, a place for sharing and meeting rooms; finally, the third floor, with executive offices and workstations for close collaborators. The structural scheme of this 900 square meters new generation “O District” office building replicates that of the functions, with the upper floors representing management and the basis for welcoming. The difference, for Giorgia Dennerlein, lies entirely in the interpretation: connecting the environments, emphasizing the hospitality of the place, creating a relaxed atmosphere that might improve the quality of life in the workplace. To achieve the result, the architect defines the volumes playing with modular desks and chairs, a true architecture within the architecture that uses color as a distressing and dialoguing factor between the different areas.
