Each project reflects the energy and nature of the homeowner. As a rule, we receive a number of restrictions and requests from the client, which gives an impetus to our work. This interior, however, was designed for a rental apartment, so it didn’t have any particular image. That’s why we decided to design a space where we would like to live ourselves.

Libeň Docks in Prague, Czech Republic by QARTA Architektura

November 2nd, 2022 by Sumit Singhal

Article source: QARTA Architektura

Five apartment buildings built on a former marina brownfield evoke the atmosphere of a local, “Libeň-style Amsterdam”. The houses are nested on a distinctive site, a narrow peninsula flanked by opposite green banks.

The transformation of the marina brownfield has turned the location into a pleasant contemporary residential area. As an articulation of tranquillity, the complex reflects on the surface of a river flowing through the vibrant city of Prague.

An inspiring workplace is a great perk for employees, and companies like AppFolio are going above and beyond to create destination workplaces that enhance company culture and a sense of belonging.

The opportunity for AppFolio to take over the lease for the second floor of their office building in Richardson, Texas, meant the company could consolidate its Dallas-area-workforce into a single, two-story, 48,000-square-foot Texas headquarters. With a commitment to purposely support team members, AppFolio wanted to create a place where employees wanted to be a place that would facilitate collaboration and teamwork while making life a little easier through amenities that help maintain work-life balance.

Designing building at small corner plot in the vicinity of the existing housing development was a real challenge for us. Villa Mandra in Mykonos, Greece by K-Studio

Article source: K-Studio

Sitting on the ridge of the hill of Aleomandra in Mykonos yet almost entirely hidden from view, Villa Mandra looks straight out to sea and the sunset over the neighbouring island of Delos. A 6-bedroom holiday house built for a young, dynamic couple to enjoy with their family and friends, it celebrates its spectacular view from a grounded viewpoint blended into a sensitively landscaped, stone-walled garden that screens it from the road behind.

Ílhavo House in Portugal by M2.senos_arquitetos

October 29th, 2022 by Sumit Singhal

Article source: M2.senos_arquitetos

All around you can still feel the old farm fields, but this is still a very urban house.

The owners inherited the land from their grandparents and decided to build this house on it. A ground floor (or predo minantly ground floor) house that accomplishes the family´s desires.

The parcel, with little depth, extends slowly along the street, almost disappearing around the curve.
